Is Hive Christian Academy the right fit for your family?

At Hive Christian Academy, we want to provide support to the primary educational system God has given each child - their family. We want to help parents thrive in their parenting and encourage them to pursue their children’s education. We want to see students who can both demonstrate their learning, but more importantly love learning and are equipped to pursue learning on their own. We want students to grow not only academically, but spiritually as well.

We want to pursue all we do with excellence, humility, the Gospel at the Center and God’s Word as the guide.

FAQs

  • Hive is open to students from Christian families connected to a local church. Children must hold a non-Iraqi passport and be 5 by September 30 to attend Hive.

Students will need to be able to speak English at an upper-beginner level and be able to perform at an appropriate grade level academically and behaviorally. Unfortunately at this time we are unable to accommodate students needing an IEP (Individualized Education Program.)

At this time we are unable to accept students with an Iraqi passport as we do not have the capability of providing transfer papers in accordance with the local educational system. We hope to change this policy by 2030.

  • The school uses a Hive model. This model has three required learning days each week (Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday) and two optional extracurricular days each week (Tuesday and Thursday.) On these optional days, students may complete their independent study either at home work with a parent or at school with teacher guidance. Tuesday and Thursday afternoons are reserved for experiential field learning opportunities.

HCA utilizes a very parent-focused educational model. We want to encourage and support parents as they lead their families. We want to see parents involved in their children’s education and feel confident in discipling their children according to God’s Word.

  • Tuition for the academic year will be a flat rate of $5,000. Payments can be made monthly ($500).

This is an all-inclusive tuition which covers the students’ tuition, uniforms, books, trips and lunches. There will not be additional costs for enrollment, textbooks, exams, or lunch services.

There is a 15% discount for all siblings.

  • Hive used an American, Christian, Gospel-centered curriculum for most subjects. Students will participate in multi-age classrooms and will have the opportunity to learn from a Gospel-centered worldview. All teaching will be in English with the exception of the foreign language class.

Students will be assessed upon enrollment for their appropriate level based on several factors, and then placed in the appropriate class for the upcoming academic year.

  • HCA provides transcripts and records of each student’s work when needed for transfer.

HCA is currently in the accreditation process with ACSI and MSA* and plans to have both of these accreditations in place by the end of our 2027 school year. Once this has been finalized, HCA will issue American Diplomas upon graduation.

*Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Middle-States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA).
